Watercolor kingfisher bird paintings

I've got a pair of watercolor kingfishers paintings. 

What do you think about creative spots and not focusing on feathers' details?

Eagle owl with different media

My new bird drawing with colored pencils on Pastelmat sanded paper. It's an eagle owl.

 Also I've painted a creative watercolor owl using indigo, cadmium orange, cobalt blue and quinacridone magenta for feathers.

Kingfisher Acrylic painting

Recently I'd painted a Kingfisher bird with acrylics on canvas board. I tried some new techniques for background to make the bird pop up - multi layering and scratching. Also I used the color wheel to make a color contrast.
